Alfredo Tovar joined Sherwood Law Group as an associate attorney in 2018 and focuses his practice on real estate, general litigation, and corporate matters. He has represented numerous clients in residential and commercial transactions, including closings, short sales, leases, and loan agreements. His litigation experience includes landlord/tenant disputes, property damage claims, foreclosure, collections, breach of contract, and corporate fraud. Alfredo takes a thoughtful and communicative approach to his work, emphasizing client education and a willingness to tackle complex legal issues. He holds a Political Science degree from Dominican University and earned his J.D. from DePaul University College of Law, where he received a certificate in business law and a CALI Award for excellence in real estate transactions. As a 711 student, he also represented elderly clients facing eviction through DePaul’s Civil Litigation Clinic.
