James Bettinger joined Sherwood Law Group as an Associate Attorney in April of 2021. James focuses his practice primarily in personal injury, representing clients who have been injured in automobile and pedestrian accidents, slip and fall injuries, premises liability cases, dog bites, and third party work incidents. James believes that the difficulty of a case is no bar to quality legal representation and knows that dedication to one's work is crucial to achieving success. James is personally invested in each case he works on and takes the necessary steps to yield the best possible outcomes for his clients. Communication is key, and James involves clients as much as possible in their cases so that no stone is left unturned.
James graduated Magna Cum Laude from Lewis University in 2016. From there, James attended the Loyola University Chicago School of Law. He served as an Editor and Writer for the Loyola University Chicago Annals of Health Law Journal. Additionally, he obtained a 711-student law license and worked as a student attorney with the Health Justice Project defending clients in SSDI appeals and immigration cases. He then began working as a student attorney for the Legal Aid Society, appearing in court on behalf of low-income tenants fighting against evictions.
James graduated from the Loyola University Chicago School of Law in May of 2020 with a certificate in Health Law and has been licensed to practice law in Illinois since January of 2021.
